SUMMARY:Oakland County America 250 Celebration
DESCRIPTION:As America celebrates 250 years as a nation\, please join us for a county and city celebration at our campus on July 25th and 26th. \n  \nPlanning (and work!) is underway with all this going on: \n\nThe Oakland County Board of Commissioners has approved funding the paving of our driveway and electrical improvements on our campus grounds. \nSeveral planning meetings have been held involving many of our local historical organizations and museums to assemble an event covering every area of our county.\nKey leaders in our county government have committed their involvement\, including the Board of Commissioners\, Oakland County Parks\, Oakland County Circuit Court\, and others.\nThe City of Pontiac\, in addition to celebrating the 100th anniversary of Pontiac Motors this year\, will be holding activities at our campus during the event.\nSeveral SAR and DAR chapters will also be joining us\, providing reenactors and some ceremonial activities. \n\nThere’s a lot more to come. For now\, consider this your “Save the Date” for a historic\, really fun event!
