Description
Edward W. Peck emigrated from West Bloomfield, Ontario County New York and settled in Troy Township in 1831. He became a merchant. He also served as secretary of the Oakland County Pioneer Society for ten years. He lived for a time in Pontiac and was a well known merchant, land speculator and early prominent citizen of both Troy and Pontiac.
The names of two of his wives, Lucy and Mary, are also listed on the monument.
The monument is an obelisk and the top is broken off.
