Description
Evelina Talbot Drake was the wife of Thomas J. Drake, a prominent early settler, lawyer and politician. She was his second wife.
The Talbot family were important in Detroit’s history from the early 1800s into the middle of the 19th century. Excerpts of letters between Evelina and her sisters are available in the Michigan Pioneer Collections, and show her to be influential in the career of her husband.
Her monument is broken and prone in front of its base. It can be adopted on its own for $340.00, or as part of the Drake lot.
