Description
Judah Church was an early settler to Oakland County, settling in Orion township. Judah Road carries his name. He purchased land there in 1819. Mary Colby Church is his wife.
The information given in his Findagrave memorial regarding his death is most likely incorrect. The Judah Church who died in the territory of Washington (and who was buried where he was found) does not appear to be the same man, as Oak Hill burial records document the burial of Judah in this lot, along with his wife Mary. There is no indication this is a cenotaph.
The monument is broken in several places and prone on the grave.
