Description
Percival, called Percy, is the son of Augustus and Eliza Seaman Leggett. He enlisted as a sergeant and later as a 2nd Lieutenant in Company I of the 5th Michigan Cavalry and was promoted to 1st Lieutenant by the time he was killed in action at Port Conway, Virginia, on September 1, 1863.
Percy’s monument is in several pieces laying near its base. It will be reassembled, placed back into its base, leveled and cleaned.
The monument has been pledged for adoption.
