Description
Thomas J. Drake is very well known to the Oakland County Historical Society, since he served as an organizing founder of the Oakland County Pioneer Society in the 1870s. In his time he served as a lawyer, prosecuting attorney, likely as a judge of probate. He served as chief justice of the Utah Supreme Court and was Michigan’s third lieutenant governor. His house stands near the intersection of Williams Street and Huron in Pontiac.
Thomas’ monument is broken at the base and is on the ground.
