Sylvester Cole Family Collection
Sylvester Cole Family Collection (Also called the “Cole-Bigler-Prall” Collection) This record group was handed down through the Cole family. When Sylvester passed away in 1919, the records went to his daughter, Damaris, who donated them to the Society in 1972. This collection relates primarily to the estate of Elijah E. Hundley. Notably, Folder I consists of correspondence (1877) from Elijah to his son-in-law, Sylvester Cole. The majority of the

Boxed Collection – Charles Emerson Brown Collection The Charles Emerson Brown Collection contains the personal, civic, social, and family papers and photographs of Charles Emerson Brown, c. 1892-1996. The collection consists mostly of photographs of family and personal events, as well as professional. The collection was donated to the Oakland County Pioneer and Historical Society by Susan Kay Basinger, Charles Emerson Brown’s daughter, on February 27, 1998.

Boxed Collection: Paul A. Kern Correspondence and Records Paul A. Kern was a real estate developer and a City Commissioner in the city of Pontiac, Michigan. This collection is a large repository of his records and correspondence.
