James H. Lynch Collection

James H. Lynch (1859 – 1941) was a prominent attorney, judge and teacher in the Oakland County area for many years. He served as the president of the board for the Oakland County Pioneer and Historical Society in the early 20th century. Hadsell Family Collection

  Hadsell Family Collection Items from the family of Asa Hadsell, who lived on the shore of Hadsell Pond in Bloomfield Township. Asa Hadsell married Fanny Adams. When the Carhart family sold their house in 1965 numerous items from the Hadsell and Carhart families were given to the Oakland County Pioneer & Historical Society. Included were many kitchen items such as the wooden bowl, ladle and butter mold.

  Elizabeth Dawson Brown Collection Elizabeth Dawson Brown was the granddaughter of Charles Dawson, a Pontiac miller, banker and former mayor. The Dawson family became successful in the automotive industry here. When Mrs. Dawson-Brown passed away, she left her house and all its contents to OCPHS. This is her document collection.
