Sylvester Cole Family Collection

Sylvester Cole Family Collection (Also called the “Cole-Bigler-Prall” Collection)

This record group was handed down through the Cole family. When Sylvester passed away in 1919, the records went to his daughter, Damaris, who donated them to the Society in 1972.

This collection relates primarily to the estate of Elijah E. Hundley. Notably, Folder I consists of correspondence (1877) from Elijah to his son-in-law, Sylvester Cole. The majority of the collection consists of probate, tax and chancery court records relating to the Hundley estate.
